Underground Tank Services

A cornerstone of Blaes Environmental’s consulting service is our work associated with underground storage tanks.  Many petroleum hydrocarbon releases into the subsurface soil and groundwater are first discovered during the underground tank removal process.  Given the significance of the findings resulting from the tank removal process, Blaes Environmental takes great care to provide the highest quality investigation during each underground tank removal program.  Our specific services include:

  • Project management and coordination of the tank removal contractor;

  • Soil sampling below each underground storage tank system component;

  • Groundwater sampling (if water is found within the tank excavation);

  • Release reporting to the regulatory agencies within 24-hours (as directed by the client);

  • Laboratory analyses of soil and groundwater samples;

  • Completion of a final underground tank removal report.
